About Gussapolooza
Gussapolooza is a three-day independent music and arts festival with camping, set on 48 acres of open land in Cookstown, Ontario. Live music on three stages, art you can walk through, workshops, a kids zone, a wellness zone, and a village of local makers and food vendors.
It is built to be a weekend where families and friends can spend real time together, whatever their age. Come for a day or camp the whole weekend. Come as you are.
Accessibility
The grounds are natural grass, so getting around takes some planning. We welcome guests who use wheelchairs and mobility scooters, and guests who find long distances or uneven ground hard going.

Getting around
Our team can assist and make accommodations. There are accessible pathways between the main zones and golf cart rides on site. Let the gate team know what you need.
Camping
Our family campground on the north side of the grounds has no slope. General camping has showers, and accessible showers are available.
Parking, washrooms and service animals
Accessible parking and washrooms are on site, and service animals are welcome.

Tickets & entry
How can I purchase tickets for the festival?
Tickets can be purchased online through our official website or at the gate during the festival. We recommend buying in advance to secure your spot.
Are tickets refundable?
Event is rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges on tickets or camping. All sales final. Subject to change without notice. Artists and schedule are subject to change. Tickets are purchased for the festival, not individual artists.
Is the festival all ages?
Yes. Gussapolooza is open to all ages. Kids under 12 also receive a free wristband with an accompanying adult with a paid event pass.

Where is Cookstown?
Cookstown is a small town just outside Barrie, Ontario.
- Barrie: 15 minutes
- Newmarket: 30 minutes
- Toronto: 1 hour
- Niagara Falls: 2 hours
- London: 2 hours
Is there parking available at the festival?
Yes, there is ample parking available on site. We also encourage carpooling to reduce environmental impact. Accessible parking is available.
On the grounds
What activities are available for children?
We offer a variety of family-friendly activities, including arts and crafts workshops, storytelling sessions, and a dedicated kids play area.
Will there be food on site to purchase?
Yes, there will be a number of different food trucks and stands on site.
Will there be alcohol for sale?
Yes, there will be a beer tent outside by the main stages. There will also be a small bar inside the acoustic stage lounge.
Are there ATMs on site?
Yes, there will be ATMs on site.
Are pets allowed at the festival?
For the safety and comfort of all attendees, pets are not permitted on the festival grounds, with the exception of service animals.
What should I bring to the festival?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, comfortable seating, and a sense of adventure. Check our website for a full list of suggested items.
Camping
Can I choose my campsite?
The general camping pass provides free tent camping in either our family zone or party zone camping areas. These are not designated campsites. Campsites are first come, first served, so friends who wish to camp together should arrive together.
Is there a family friendly camping area?
Yes. Our family camping zone is separated from the party zone and is quieter at night. It is also on the north side of the grounds, on ground with no slope.
Are there showers?
Yes, there are showers on site, including accessible showers.
Are there power sites available?
Yes, we have power sites available with 15 AMP hydro (110V). Power sites must be purchased in addition to your camping pass.
Each site includes space for one steering wheel, in one of these combinations:
- One “A, B or C” class motorhome, truck bed camper, vehicle, etc.
- One vehicle plus one towed unit (tent trailer, pop-up trailer, travel trailer or 5th wheel trailer)
- One passenger vehicle and two tents
Campsites are first come, first served. Friends who wish to camp together should arrive together. You must have a minimum 100’ electrical cord to connect to the power source, and you must provide your own connector for the 15 AMP service.
What are the camping rules?
- No glass, please
- Alcohol must stay in the camping area
- Take out what you bring in
- Campers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Please clean up your campsite prior to departure
- Be respectful of your neighbours
- All campers are required to purchase event tickets
- All campground occupants must wear their event wristband at all times
- No open flame, with the exception of small cooking appliances (propane or charcoal only). There will be a main communal fire pit
- For safety reasons, once a vehicle is parked in the campgrounds, it is not allowed to move within the campgrounds. Vehicles that wish to exit or need to leave for an emergency must be escorted by security. Vehicles that exit will not be allowed to re-enter
Is outside alcohol allowed?
Guests camping overnight are allowed to bring in alcohol, but it must stay in the camping area. No glass.
