ART FAIR – CALL FOR ARTISTS
We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Gussapolooza Outdoor & Online Art Fair and invite talented artists to submit their work for consideration. This vibrant event celebrates creativity and community, offering artists a unique opportunity to showcase their art in a lively, open-air setting.

Friday, Sept 13 – 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, Sept 14 – 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday, Sept 15 – 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Submission Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Open to all artists and we welcome a diverse range of artistic expressions, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, etc. All work must be handmade and individually designed by the artist. Multiples of the same general design must be signed. Kitwork, patterns and items manufactured or mass-produced are not allowed.
- Theme: There is no specific theme for the fair. We encourage artists to submit pieces that reflect their personal style and vision.
- Size Limitations: Each festival tent is 10 x 10 ft in size, larger tent options are available upon request.
- Number of Submissions: Each artist may submit once with up to 3 pieces that best depict their style. Submitted works don’t need to be part of your display (if sold prior to the fair), and can be replaced by pieces of similar style.
Submission Process:
- All entries are judged from digital files.
- Deadline: All submissions must be received by Friday, August 30th at 11:59 PM EST.
- How to Submit: Complete the submission form below.
- Participation Fee (you can do all three days or only 1 or 2 days of your choice) The fee is flat and will not change if you do all days or only 2 or 1.
- Option 1 – flat fee of $130 + hst (bring your own tent).
- Option 2 – flat fee of $295 + hst (tent and leg weights provided).
- Option 3 – flat fee of $420 + hst (tent provided with leg weights and six 2×8 metal grids to display artworks).
Selection Process:
A panel of esteemed judges from the art community will review all submissions. Selection criteria will include originality, artistic merit, and suitability for an outdoor display.
Participation Benefits:
- Exhibit Space: Selected artists will be provided with a designated space to display their work.
- Networking Opportunities: Engage with fellow artists, art enthusiasts, and potential buyers.
- Publicity: Featured on our website, social media platforms, and promotional materials.
- Sales Opportunity: All exhibited artworks during the event can be made available for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going to the artists.
Awards:
Each jury member will select the “Best in Show” artist. Winning artists will receive a digital award certificate.
Additional Information:
- Setup and Breakdown: Artists are responsible for the setup and breakdown of their display. Detailed instructions will be provided upon acceptance. Artists will be able to leave their displays up overnight as the area is monitored by security and will be closed off in the evening.
- Weather: This is an outdoor event. Please be prepared for various weather conditions.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation requests must be received by email.
- In the event of cancellation by the artist before August 31st, fees will be refunded, minus a $50 administrative fee.
- In the event of cancellation by the artist ON OR AFTER September 1st, there will be no refunds.
