A songwriting challenge gone too far: VANCAMP indie folk recording alias of Peterbroough-based musician Calvin Bakelaar. The project blends lively indie grit with sentimental acoustic charm, crafting mindful lyricism and dynamic performance for an energetic, slightly nostalgic, and completely authentic live experience. VANCAMP’s debut EP “523” was released in 2022, with the follow-up “Camper Van” released in 2023, and a debut album coming in late 2024.
