With a new self-titled album launched, Canadian rockers Fortunate Losers can hardly wait to deliver their hard rock sound to live audiences in 2024. Formed in 2016, the band has evolved considerably and while their sound continues to be grunge influenced, the music is deeper and more intricate than in the past. Frontman Devon Cox credits more hands in the pot, with increased creative contributions from bassist Brent Boileau and guitarist Brad Giffen.
Another crucial influence is that of producer Steve Molella, who has his fingerprints all over the new music, offering a deliberate approach and making each song better in every aspect.
“He was really particular on how we did everything,” said Cox of the influence Molella had on the new record. “You can hear the difference.”
