History
In 2017, Gussapolooza started as a backyard celebration of original music that featured independent bands from across Ontario. Only a few years later, Gussapolooza has grown into a successful three-day music festival with over 50 bands, 3 stages, RV camping, workshops, food trucks, and fun for the whole family.
Gussapolooza is a place where independent artists can learn from industry professionals, meet other like-minded artists, connect with promoters and tour organizers, and bring their music careers to the next level. The festival has come a long way and we couldn’t be more proud of it.
Gussapolooza features dozens of incredible musical performances, a fully functional campground, comedy shows, artists, buskers, food, crafts, educational workshops and activities that bring people together from all over Canada.
Gussapolooza has a purpose: to launch independent artist careers to the next level while also growing our beloved local music scene in Simcoe County and Southern Ontario.
Bands want to play at Gussapolooza because of our passion for helping indie artists succeed. We do this through our festival offerings as well as our award program, where a panel of judges and music lovers work together to award professional recording time, professional video, radio play, and more to select upcoming artists.
